Neil Sedaka was born in Brooklyn, New York, March 13th 1939, to Jewish parents Mac and Eleanor who were of Turkish and Russian descent. Sedakas career has spanned 57 years, during which time he has sold millions of records as an artist and has written or co-written over 500 songs for either himself or other artists, collaborating mostly with lyricist Howard Greenfield and Phil Cody.
